I am a wife to a wonderful husband & mom to two incredible children-Leah & Jake. Three loves in my life-family, photography & children's clothing. I decided to bring all three together & have been trigger happy since the birth of my youngest 5 years ago. My style is all about capturing the real child. I focus on showcasing their true personality & expressions, not having a child sit still and say cheese.
I strive to have our sessions stress free and fun for all.

My sessions are on location or at your home using natural light only. I am located in Northern Virginia & book sessions for the entire DC metro area. I specialize in Maternity, Newborns, Children & Families. I frequently travel to Orlando, FL & Easton, MD so please contact me for availability in these locations.

Fine Art Friday | Northern Virginia Nature Photographer

It’s the 4th Friday of the month and time for another installment of Fine Art Friday. I’ll admit I didn’t take these this month, but I came across them while I was looking through old photos. I took them last June at the Beach. Yes sad I am just opening photos and going through them, but that is what happens with my personal photos.

Fine Art Friday | Washington DC Cherry Blossoms

Time for another Fine Art Friday post, and sure enough the Cherry Blossoms bloomed two weeks early this month so I am able to post a photo of them. I do feel bad for the festival organizers and all the tourists who were planning to come see them, if you didn’t know this year is the Centennial celebration and events are planned for a whole month (usually the festival last for two weeks). You would have thought someone would have told mother nature, but what can you do?

That is just so pretty. I’ve always wanted to come see all the cherry blossoms in bloom, but have never made it out there at the right time of year. Kind of sad about the festival this year though…

Love this image! I love the cherry blossoms too! We went to the festival two years ago and had such a great time, but I would love to get there at dawn too. It was way too crowded when we went. Great job!

Fine Art Friday | Washington DC Fine Art Photographer

Hard to believe another month has passed and it is time for another Fine Art Friday post. I hope you enjoyed viewing all the other photographers images from last month. There are some talented ladies in this group. In honor of Washington’s Birthday last Wednesday here is a shot of the Washington Monument I took one evening.

One of the benefits of living near DC-you never run out of subjects to photograph. Next month keep your eyes out for some Cherry Blossoms, I bet with the weather we have been having they will bloom early this year!

wonderful! I lov all the monuments at night. usually when Im there Im working and the last thing I want to do at 2am is take out my gear while Im by myself, in DC. Love this shot!

Fine Art Friday

Fine Art Friday is one of my new personal projects for this year. Each month I will be participating with some other fabulous photographer friends. We will each post a photo which we feel represents a more artistic vision. Something fun just for us and not for our clients. This month I did choose one which you may have seen before, I took a series of pomegranate shots last year. Next month I promise to have a new shot.
