  • Welcome to my blogsite!

A website and blog all in one, making it easier for you, as a client, to see everything in one place.

I am a wife to a wonderful husband & mom to two incredible children-Leah & Jake. As you will see my style is all about capturing the real child with natural smiles. I focus on showcasing their true personality & expressions, not having a child sit still and say 'cheese'. I will laugh and play games with your child while striving to have our sessions stress free and fun for all.

I've been in business for over 6 years.

Sessions are on location or at your home using the available natural light. I am located in Northern Virginia & book sessions for the entire DC metro area.

Fine Art Friday…Washington DC Photographer

Really 4th Friday of the month already, ok I admit it scrambling again for a photo this month. Not sure if this is really fine art, but I wanted to post something other than a flower this month:)as much as I love them…

Here it is:

Please be sure to check out Amy Shertzer, Los Angeles Photographer’s photo this month!

I love the leading lines and the sense of power you get from the large columns. And that sky is amazing!

Fine Art Friday | Northern Virginia Nature Photographer

It’s the 4th Friday of the month and time for another installment of Fine Art Friday. I’ll admit I didn’t take these this month, but I came across them while I was looking through old photos. I took them last June at the Beach. Yes sad I am just opening photos and going through them, but that is what happens with my personal photos.

So without delay here is my ‘official’ Fine Art Friday photo:

But I do want to show you other photos I took of the same flower, just goes to show you if change your focus point, composition or angle you can get a completely different look:

Please take a moment and check out fellow New Hampshire Photographer Beth Philcrantz photo HERE

Fine Art Friday | Washington DC Cherry Blossoms

Time for another Fine Art Friday post, and sure enough the Cherry Blossoms bloomed two weeks early this month so I am able to post a photo of them. I do feel bad for the festival organizers and all the tourists who were planning to come see them, if you didn’t know this year is the Centennial celebration and events are planned for a whole month (usually the festival last for two weeks). You would have thought someone would have told mother nature, but what can you do?

Take a look at some of the photos I took 3 years ago HERE I really wanted to get downtown before sunrise this year to take some photos too, but never made it, hopefully next year..

Please also be sure to check out the photo by Amy Shertzer Los Angeles, CA Fine Art Photography

Those are so pretty! I’d love to see them in person one day. . . but for now, your images make a pretty good substitute!

Sharon - April 1, 2012 - 4:31 pm

Love this image! I love the cherry blossoms too! We went to the festival two years ago and had such a great time, but I would love to get there at dawn too. It was way too crowded when we went. Great job!

dalia - March 30, 2012 - 10:49 pm

I love cherry blossoms!!! these are gorgeous!

Leigh Ann Hines - March 30, 2012 - 5:46 pm

Beautiful! I love the softness and the colors. It almost looks like a watercolor.

HollyChristine - March 30, 2012 - 12:00 pm

Oh I love cherry blossoms! I have seen them a few times in DC and they are amazing!

tracy - March 30, 2012 - 7:43 am

I love cherry blossoms and we don’t get to enjoy them in the deep south. Beautiful picture. I love it.

Kay Pickens - March 30, 2012 - 7:36 am

That is just so pretty. I’ve always wanted to come see all the cherry blossoms in bloom, but have never made it out there at the right time of year. Kind of sad about the festival this year though…

Beth P - March 30, 2012 - 7:09 am

Beautiful! I love cherry blossoms, I wish there were more around here for me to capture. I just love the colors in your image, they are so dreamy!
