  • Welcome to my blogsite!

A website and blog all in one, making it easier for you, as a client, to see everything in one place.

I am a wife to a wonderful husband & mom to two incredible children-Leah & Jake. As you will see my style is all about capturing the real child with natural smiles. I focus on showcasing their true personality & expressions, not having a child sit still and say 'cheese'. I will laugh and play games with your child while striving to have our sessions stress free and fun for all.

I've been in business for over 6 years.

Sessions are on location or at your home using the available natural light. I am located in Northern Virginia & book sessions for the entire DC metro area.

Snowflakes!! Macro Monday | Northern Virginia Photographer

If you didn’t read this post, go back and do so before you read this one. “The Search for the Perfect Snowflake”:)

We had another snowstorm last week. I think I am the only adult that wishes for snow. First thing I do is bundle up break out the Macro and hunt down the snowflakes. I was so happy with my results this time! Every snowflake truly is unique!

The theme over at I Heart Faces this week is ‘Innocent Wonder’. I thought of this photo with the little girl looking at the apple. It’s always been one of my favorites, I love the light coming in….

Two Weeks Old | Easton Maryland Newborn Photographer

What a wonderful Christmas present for this family. Baby Connor arrived just two days before Christmas. I was a little worried because usually I like newborns to be between 5 & 10 days old, but no one told him that. He did a wonderful job cooperating for me.

And to think I almost reschedule because it was a rainy yucky day and I was worried I wouldn’t have enough light.
So glad I didn’t…

Thanks mom & dad for a wonderful session enjoy the new love in your life:

Macro Love “Marble Shades of Gray” | Northern Virginia Photographer

You may have noticed I have a few different project going on this year. One is a weekly macro assignment, this week was marbles. Another is a weekly theme project with MCP Actions. This weeks theme was ‘Shades of Gray’. Well I decided to combine the two (I’m good at multitasking :))

Ice Ice Baby | Northern Virginia Newborn & Child Photographer

Sorry I just couldn’t resist the title.

We had a little bit of an ice storm last night. I got to go out first thing this morning and play with my macro lens some more. Who knew Ice could be so beautiful.
